This is D. hybrida. It's looked exactly the same since I first got it last June. It's growing under my lights (which have seasonal duration adjustments) in peat/sand and household conditions. Anybody know what it will take to wake the hibernaculum up? Thanks.

They are saying theirs is has been awake long enough to grow carnivorous leaves.

Maybe putting it outside would help. If that is not an option it could be the light intensity or length that is causing an issue.

So more light and more patience but no death metal? Okay, I can do that. Thanks, all.

D. x hybrida can certainly be a bit weird with dormancy. I know it likes to go dormant mid-summer, and mine will often wake up briefly in the fall before going dormant again for winter.
