Hello i cultivate carnivoures plants now for around 2 years. and i dont like the usage of peat, because you cant really produce it. and it takes so long to produce it. and when we buy it its taken from swamps so we take the substrate from the wild living carnivors and use it for our plants at home thats insane.
i personally hate using peat. so is it possible that you can completely renounce the usage of peat when cultivating carnivoures plants?
i hope there is a way to completely renounce the use of peat.

You can use coir if you get it salt free or wash it really well

Milled pine bark is a great alternative to peat.

Pure live Sphagnum is a good substitute and renewable if you cultivate it, but as previously stated milled bark, pine flakes or any of those mixed with perlit or sand will do.
