I planted this little off-shoot so that I could have something to watch grow during the winter besides the pullings and seedlings. It should be fine to skip dormancy when it's still so little. Funny thing about this tiny plant is that it is getting such intense light for about 16 hours a day that it's traps have turned so dark, they appear almost black! The other sign of a happy plant is the fact that it seems to be sprouting it's own off-shoot! Look closely at the center of the plant and you will see a tiny trap poking out. I'm guessing that the new offshoot is deep and only the trap has reached the surface so far.
You can see a mosquito corpse in one of the traps in this shot.
