My spatulata tamlin looked like the flower pods had turned black and cracked open but after I pulled off the pods, they seem to still be fresh and not dry. I broke open a pod and what looks like seeds are still hard and green. The others that I have planted were like powder compared to these. Did I pull them off too soon? And will they dry out eventually or not? Should I just throw them out? Thanks

I usually wait until the pods near the tip of the flower stalk dry out and crack open.

If the seeds are Green, I don't think they're good.

Next time, wait longer or harvest each seed pod individually when each one dries out and cracks open.

Just my two cents worth.

Ok thanks. I thought they had already turned black and cracked open but I have not harvested many Sundew seeds so I am still learning. I still have alot of flower pods left on the stems. Thanks again.

haven't harvested any spatulatas left myself but we did get some from a toki complex a few weeks back, I waited until all the flowers were very very dry looking and almost all looked near or at broken open. we let them sit for a week once clipped in paper -- the seeds basically just fell out

going to try to water germinate some this week to see if they turned out ok
