One of my kids Christmas presents was packed in this, and I thought it would make for a great Venus fly trap planter. Any recommendations on what to plant together? Preferably budget friendly. I will punch in some drainage holes. The planting area is 8in x 12in.
Thanks!

It doesn’t really look deep enough to me. VFTs need at least 5/6 inches deep soil or deeper.

They may be referring to Utricularia and Pinguicula.

With holes drilled you could use it for seedlings including VFT and sun dews. But after a year or two it will be too shallow.
