I am trying to do water germination for venus flytrap.I need to know do we have to change water also ??

I germinated a lot of Sundew species in water.

I would only change the water when I'd see little filaments of algae appear.

I never tried Flytraps.

I tried with water germination with some vft seed and got some good results. I used disposable pipettes to germinate them in and a toothpick as a stopper, I never had any problem with algae since they are sterile out of the package. (also I give my seeds a very quick wash in a hydrogen peroxide solution.)

Out of 10 seeds 8 have germinated so far. 2 sprouted in the first week, the rest started after about the 2 week mark. the last 2 are still in there a month and a half later, but I don't think they will sprout, they look like they may have grown funny or something as they are a little misshapen.
