This is a strange question, but just attribute it to base human curiosity. Besides, I bet anyone who's ever owned a carnivorous plant has wanted to ask this at least once before.
Have you ever tried...tasting your plants? Like, bugs seem to find them tasty enough that they kill themselves on them...so how would it taste to humans?

Have you ever drank the juice in a pitcher plant? Licked a sundew or flytrap? Or heard of anyone who has?

Yes. Sarracenia nectar of course, and on a date I licked a D. capensis. And stuck my tongue into a King Henry flytrap. Also nibbled on a Ping flower and leaf out of pure curiosity.

I was disappointed to know that drosera dew is, in fact, not sweet :( . Also not related to CPs but I tasted banana and amaryllis nectar. Banana nectar is pretty sweet and amaryllis nectar tastes like cassava (which I dont really like)

Same XD
Often I start singing/humming without realizing it when I'm doing something so now whenever I'm tending to my plants my dad asks "are you singing to your plants again?"

Haha. I agree, not much flavor, it’s more a textural experience. And I guess I’ll let the cat out of the bag and say that butterworts are bitter.
