I use T8 & CFL bulbs for VFTs. They work just fine and are capable of bringing out the red coloration if kept fairly close. The light from ebay would work for Drosera Capensis and VFTs. I suggest using an LED flood light. They not only provide great coverage, but are also cheap and very powerful. You can find one on Amazon here. A good grow light will be around 6000K on the color spectrum. Hope this helps.
