I want to get a paeoniffus (Or something like that, I can't remember weird names). Do they smell as bad as titanum?

Not particularly difficult as long as you have the heat. Here in Seattle they'll grow but without a greenhouse they just get smaller and smaller. Feed them well during the growing season so you get lots of corm growth.

A. paeonifolius smells just as carrionesque as konjac.

I'm hoping my bigger one will flower next year. Its corm is almost 8" across

I got a seed from pearl river Exotics as a freebie. It grew to about the size of the plant in the photo in a little under a month. Hasn't grown much since its started to grow leafs. I recommend high nutrient soil, and fertilizing the plant on a weekly basis.

Flies do get fooled though. I always found live (and starving) maggots on my Stapelia flowers.
