I sowed a packet of 20 "Superior" VFT seeds from this forum's store and have yet to see any germination. I sowed them in 2 plastic tubs of 100% organic peat moss. The tubs have lids with holes punched into them as well as holes punched into the bottom of each tub. I have yet to see anything green growing in either of them.

The date of sowing was July 31st of this year.

I usually figure 4 to 6 weeks for CP seed germination.
You should see some germinating seeds soon.
You're not quite at 4 weeks yet.

What is the temperature near you seed containers?
That can have an effect in germination time.

I'm not a Flytrap guru, more of a Drosera guy, to be honest.
But I thought I'd toss in my two cents worth.

Good growing,
Mike

Thanks. The temp is anywhere from 75-85 degrees, I think. I don't exactly have a thermometer handy near the containers. Besides, the containers themselves get fairly warm with the sun and all. I have the containers right next to my mini bog garden setup.

I'm not giving up yet though. I'll give them another month or so before I even think about doing that.

Temperatures sound good.
I wouldn't even begin to get concerned until it has gone over 8 weeks.

I sowed my seeds on August 3rd and I think I can barely see roots beginning to appear today. Don't worry about them, it sounds like you are giving them all they need except time. Generally you will see the first true leaves from 4 to 6 weeks after sowing I believe.
