So this guy is selling Utricularia Purpurea... the flowers look very nice, and obviously, as a CP person, I want one! Unfortunately, it is aquatic. And the only free floating plants I currently grow are water cabbages/letuces in a little pond with fish. So some questions:
-Do they need a minimal container size? Like maybe 1 litre?
-Do I still need to use pure RO/distilled water?

You'll want a container of at least a couple gallons, if you can get one. Should be easy to find a tiny aquarium that would work.

You should still use mostly distilled water, but with a small amount of pond water and maybe a few dead leaves added in to help grow the microorganisms that the ultrics eat.
