Well, ive grown my S. cobra nest for 2 years now and I always let it go dormant. Unlike some other Sarracenia though, it doesnt drop its pitchers in winter, it keeps them throughout the winter and only loses a couple of them by the beginning of spring. Because it doesnt lose its pitchers i guess you can say that it looks like its growing all year long. Than again, i live in zone 9, the coldest it gets here is around 30 degrees fahrenheit in the winter, probably a little colder. The soil does freeze, but it doesnt snow here, so I dont know how it reacts in a colder climate.
