I am looking for some Drosera Adelae seeds. I live in the us.

Adelae doesn't produce much seed, it's seed is rare

That explains why I havent found any. I have been looking everywhere.

To produce seed, you need two different clones of Drosera adelae, flowering at the same time. Then you can cross pollinate them and maybe get seed. D. adelae is usually propagated from root or leaf cuttings. If you want this species, ask the community for one of those. I'd send you one, but it's getting too cold now to mail one from Milwaukee.

Unless you can find one of hose old yellow flowered form and cross it with the normal red flowered variety

I did not know it was so hard to get the seeds from Drosera adelae. So you can send a root or leaf cutting in the mail? I did not know that. I will ask soon.

I've shipped root cutting And leaf cuttings and even plants. Predatory plants has some adelae and they have a Black Friday sale

I was actually just looking at Predatory Plants.They seem to be the cheapest place right now.

I got my Andromeda yesterday (mailed to me in Chicago) and it survived the trip pretty well, so I think this week is still ok...In fact I'm risking it myself by ordering adelae too.


P.S.- There's a yellow flowered form? anybody grow it?

The yellow flowered form turned red or disappeared after the introduction of the red flowered form, according to Peter D Amato
