Drosera paradoxa is found in skeletal sandy soils over sandstone in or along the banks of seasonally dry creeks or in sandstone cracks. During the wet season from March to April, its habitat is typically flooded with fast-flowing water. Drosera paradoxa is native to the west and north coasts of the Kimberley region inland to Beverley Springs, Western Australia and east to Arnhem Land and Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory.

Technically it is native to Australia, but during the growing season their habitats stay reasonably wet and very humid. In the wild they go through a summer dormancy (aestivation), but in cultivation many species (including D. paradoxa) do not need a dormancy as long as the growing conditions remain good for active growth. This essentially makes them tropicals.

Question: Does Paradoxa appreciate being waterlogged or just damp moist media? I'll be using only pure LFSm....

Well if waterlogged for too long, paradoxa may get root rot. But mine sits in a water tray/box everyday without the water drying up and does fine.

I like waterlog my droseras (intermedia amd filiformis), and I also like to give high level of water in the tray..
Well, if I cant do that to paradoxa, will reduce the water then..

Members of the petiolaris complex require very specific growing conditions and, while they are "tropical," they can't be grown like a capensis. They tend to go dormant eventually (even if not given a seasonal cue) and need two distinct seasons. Overall, I wouldn't recommend one unless you're already well acquainted with more demanding drosera (stuff like D. slackii, regia, etc).

If you water log this plant while it is dormant, I can guarantee that it'll get rot and die. Please read http://www.carnivorousplants.org/howto/ ... Woolly.php
