Hi guys! So this post isn't about carnivorous plants, instead it is about appreciating this beautiful flowers on my hibiscus 'Miss California'!
So I bought this plant circa 2 years ago, knowing that it was more on the harder side to grow (by hibiscus standards anyway). The plant never bloomed nor did any new growth show no matter what I did to it. I hung on to this plant through various purges because the variety does make very lovely flowers but eventually I admitted that there's no reason to hang on to something that does not, in fact, want to make any flowers, so I mentally consigned it to death. While it happened I got distracted and perhaps sensing it's last chances it finally coughed some up! The lesson here is that threatening a plant with murder is totally worth it, I guess...
