Anyone else found a good way to keep crows from digging up your plants? The only thing I've found that works is putting marble chips on top of the soil. Don't know why it works, but they seem to leave them alone. If there's one pot without them, that's the one they'll dig up. Some people have said I shouldn't do that because of the possibility of minerals leaching out, but it doesn't seem to be a problem, and it's better than having them dug up every few days. Still, I'd rather not do it if I didn't have to. I wish I could find a realistic toy snake like I used to see all the time when I was a kid. Can't find one now. (What's wrong with kids these days?) I've also thought about one of those fake owls with the bobble-head that moves and spins around.
Any thoughts?

I would try fishing line, put some tight fishing line above the plants just a bit. The goal is to make it so they can't fly through it (they can't fit through with their open wings). It's very effective, they won't go anywhere with hard to see line above them.
