Ti§h's CP - 12 OCT : Oct random updates...

by tish » Sun Oct 11, 2015 4:42 pm

Too many photos to update, or was it too many plants. Either way, I'm not complaining.

Cephalotus F. : This latest addition
Image

Drosera Andromeda No.7 : I thought the plant was dying/rotting, luckily it has put out new growth
Image

D. Oblanceolata : No sure what is the, but quite obvious it's a flower stalk, perhaps deformed
Image

D. Oblanceolata : In another pot also had a similar stalk.
Image

DM Vigorous: Latest vft addition.
Image

Sarracenia : Has been putting out lots of new leaf. Good sign
Image

D. Intermedia Big Audrey : Dewy and happy
Image

D. Nidiformis : Dewy and happy too
Image

D Adelae: Glittering like starts
Image

D. Marston Dragon : Silhouette
Image

D Tokaiensis : The one that grows like weed here in Singapore.
Image

Chris Davis mix of Drosera: Intermedia... ? Still guessing.
Image

Chris Davis mix of VFT

Everything is very nice! It's sort of counter-intuitive to me to see you growing a Heliamphora next to a bunch of obviously happy lowland nepenthes, but so be it.

Perhaps like Maiden mentioned. Minor is one of the more forgiving type and can adapt to lowland :)

Ti§h's CP - 13 OCT : My Preciousssssssss!!

by tish » Tue Oct 13, 2015 3:59 pm

Looking at how beautiful 1 particular nepenthes is. I've reserved a Nepenthes Sumatrana. Finally went to collect it a few days back. Taking some pictures as well of the collector's plants. So many nice plants I wanted to get but have to wait for year end bonus. As usual, due to poor knowledge, I cannot name the plants I see so I number it.

Ti§h's CP - 27 Oct: Carnivoria.eu

by tish » Tue Oct 27, 2015 3:52 pm

I know some people are asking for my feedback and info ordering from David. We and I have ordered from David a couple of times. He's side is slow but always delivers. 1 mo can take 2 months and maybe more. He packed well in styrofoam box since its a big order, otherwise in card box material box. 1 or 2 plants were missed out before and he have no problem mailing them over. Ask for express shipment if you are far.
Do not expect plants to be same when you order the same item as others from the same buyer. Plants always varies. There is dormancy and other factors that will change the plant from seller's place :)

Some of the plants
Image

Anyway here's the plants I ordered from the MO
Image

Giving them a good soak in low ppm water
Image

Heliamphora Heterodoxa
Image
Image

Heliamphora Nutans
Image

Nepenthes Spectabilis x Aristolochioides : High land. Will be a challenge to keep it alive
Image
Image
Image

Darlingtonia Californica in tube : Another challenge too

Wow Tish you really got a nice collections! I'm new to CP hobby too here in SG and just like you I'm starting with VFT :)

Bought a packet of seeds from FTS here and 1 store bought VFT which I'm trying to put through dormancy here

How do you put all your plants (those temperate plants) into dormancy?

Oh and also I fell in love with Cephalotus and thinking to get 1 lol

Thanks! Well, some plants grows, some dies, so there is a turn round. VFT dont really do well here in singapore. Heat and too wet kills them.

The seeds from FTC is good. I hope you have fun growing :)
