Filiformis seed giveaway, seeds for sowing in a mini-bog or in your pots for some nice volunteers.

To clarify, there are two forms (that I know of that occur naturally in the wild) of Filiformis. One is Filiformis var. Tracyi, which has thicker, larger leaves and is greener. It grows in the panhandle of Florida, and can often be found with Sarracenia Rubicorpa. There is also Filiformis var. Filiformis, which is smaller with thinner leaves and more red coloration. It's got a more northern range, up through NC. This is what I'm giving away. It flowers prolifically when well fed.

Rules: ConUS only, open to members with 30 posts or more.

I WILL PICK ONE WINNER, GIVEAWAY ENDS IN TWO WEEKS!

How many do you have, what is the original source, and do you have pictures of the parent plants, which I presume are from your collection?

Unless they are wild collected.

Seeds or plants? I have several flowering plants, the amount of seeds up is two pods, or about 50 seeds.

The original source is member Nevermore.

It's not incredibly important information; the source of the seeds. But it can be useful for many growers. The one thing that is missing from the first post is how many will be distributed and how a member should sign up for the giveaway.

Thanks for the contribution!

Signing up? I generally forget at least one thing every time I do a giveaway. but, Dematerialize and BB helped me out. :)

Anyhow, here's pictures of the plant. I know location data is oh-so-important for some people, but if I never bought anything if I didn't know where it was collected, I'd have a lot fewer plants than I do now.

However, we are seeing more and more that location data is important because of the declining habitat of these location-specific populations. So, while I try to find out the location info of a plant, I don't stress about it.

And yes, I know the timestamp of my camera is messed up. This picture, rest assured, was not taken in 2007. :)

I would like to sign up for some of the Drosera filiformis seeds that are the northern variety. I need more temperate species for my somewhat temperate climate.
