my name is James and i am interested in plant breeding, I know i cant breed any plant i want together, I know mostly about Grafting, But I am interested in house hold plants, more then out door plants because i would like to experiment.
PLANT interests Include
-Venus fly traps
-Ferns

I would like some tips because i don't that much about cross pollination and advance Cultivating
i mean know basic Cultivating but i would really like some tips for when i grow some Fly traps

plus I want your Opinion Is there any truth behind this video?

I can totaly say the video is false because:

1. Genetics dont work like that
2. The plant he is touching is Mimosa Pudica, you can easely find its seeds

Ok!
nice icon i like Steven universe to!
plus when growing a fly trap does it have to be distilled water?
or can it be rain or filtered water?

Hi James, welcome to Flytrapcare!

Rain or reverse osmosis water can be used for flytraps. You want to use water with total dissolved solids (TDS) under 50ppm. Most standard tap water filters don't remove enough minerals for carnivorous plants.

As for breeding flytraps, it's fairly easy. You can use a small paint brush to pollinate VFT flowers. Read about it here: http://www.flytrapcare.com/propagation- ... -fly-traps

Don't wanna take away the focus from Dionaea :P But Nepenthes and Sarracenia are both really interesting to get breeding with, as there are many different species with their own characteristics, and the hybrids are also fertile, which can enable very complex hybrids!

No there's no reason to cut off the most important part of the leaf. Most cut the leaf off if it's black for aesthetic reasons or to prevent fungus or mold on the dying/dead tissue.

Just let it be as it is, also every part of the leaf helps with photosynthesis.
