Ok, this has been bugging me for a while now. I came across this angry looking plant on a visit to China. We were out hiking in the hills and when we stopped for a rest my cousin almost sat on this. Anyone have a idea of what the heck this is?

The closest thing it resembles I could find is Solanum pyracanthon. (Well the fact it has poisonous spiked leaves but the shape is different.) I could only think it's some kind of nightshade.

I found a reference to Solanum sisymbriifolium which has similar thorny leaves and grows in India. So coupled with NepenthesKT's find I think it's pretty likely to be some sort of nightshade. I don't know of any other type of plants that grow thorns out of the leaves like that.
