Even though they may be more common plants, I agree that both are very pretty. I am particularly drawn to S. purpurea out of them all though, partially because they are native to the area and I can see them in their habitats. Hopefully I can expand that part of the list before spring, especially with some sort of S. flava .

You can see it growing in the wild? Lucky! Purps are certainly my second favorite sarracenia, but first goes to either sarracenia leucophylla tarnok or Wilkerson red rocket.

I'm glad that they still exist locally within a relatively small area and that it is a protected area (even though that doesn't seem to stop the poachers). I hope to be working with the local population here soon (legally that is). Those are both stunning leuco's and would be nice ones to have .

Yeah, red lacey veins on white is absolutely stunning.

Updated to add a bunch of Sarracenia and a Brocchinia reducta. Some of the Sarracenia species added are know, but many are unknown at the moment. All are large plants that flowered last year.

Dude! Where on earth did you get all those sarrs? I would love to see pics of your leuco red and white x leuco "Avalon beach".

And where did you get the purp seeds?

I noticed that you only did 4 week stratification on your S. (alata black x flava red tube) x (evendine x flava) seeds. Eric told me to do six week stratification, I am still waiting. You said you have 26, I got 28, so tell me what percentage germinate. Might be nice to know which was better.

It would be good to know if there is any difference in percent germination and the time to germination of all those that do. Mine have not shown any signs of germination yet, but I will let you know what I find with mine.

Updated after sorting through and counting the new Sarracenia seeds to place them in cold stratification. More S. purpurea seeds were placed in stratification as well. The first four listed below are hybrids created by Jerry Addington.
