Since my last update, I think my A2 x DC XL was dormant for few months. New leaves were very red and the size did not get any bigger.
Last month, I found some small flying insects everyday even though I kill of them. I decided to repot my plant.
Maybe it is because of the repotting, it seems to be out of dormancy for the moment.
The largest trap in measuring exactly an inch. It is the green leave that has just completed developing its cilia and it is opening.

Considering that this plant is only a year and 4 months old, it is quite big. An average giant flytrap of this age will be the same size as the new small growth point you see in the picture or even smaller.
For those of you who don't know, I grow my plants indoors so there is no chance that it is fed naturally.
I am hoping that I could grow it naturally like other growers. The plant will reach its full potential by natural dormancy and feeding.
I am living in northern Pennsylvania and cannot grow it outside but I will try with the new division in the near future. For now I am just too afraid I will kill it if I don't be careful.
