Hi, i have had a cutting for a few months. When i bought it it had a well established root system. It also had two dried up pitchers(small) from last year. It has produced one leaf which now has a little brown thickened end which has turned up. It is about 1 cm long. Before i got it it also had made another leaf with the same thing on the end now. It is a nepenthes alata, does anyone know how long it is going to take for a pitcher to grow? The humidityis about 50-60% and it has about four hours of sunlight.

It can honestly take a while. I have a Nepenthes alata cutting that I had for 2 months before it finally started growing roots. It still hasn't put out any pitchers yet but it has new growth and its been about 4 months.

I believe some neps can take up to a year to root (though I think those are the slower growing ones) but I think it's much more common to be around six months to stabilize a cutting

Seeds received. Thanks Chef and donors!
