I would like to know how long a carnivorous plant can survive in a small dark box during shipping. I post this in the nepenthes section because I bought a nepenthes seedling off ebay (nepenthes alata) as a starter nepenthes for myself, but that was thursday and it probably won't be here till Monday. I did acquire some sarracenia through the mail and they arrived in adequite condition having been in shipment for about the same time. But thay were a few years old, this nepenthes is advertised as around a month old. The pictures shown were of numerous plastic containers with few green leaves coming out of each. I plan on naming it "Vengevine".

I think I got one of the alatas you're talking about. It arrived just fine, with a similar ship time.

As long they are wrap in live sphagnum or kitchen tissue or cotton wools. They will fine. Not hard packed down. Need to be boxed in 1.or 2 layer of bubble wrap for package abuse. I had orders 3 to 4 weeks. They do fine.

I just recieved it and it is not a month old seedling, it's a month old cutting. I have many questions which will be posted In a new topic with pictures.
