In the first image :
The first plant from the left is dormant, showing a cluster of almost closed leaves, with the leaves gathering in the center. You can see now many Hand of Nod (Tiberian Dawn). The plant won't conquer the world.
Leaves, in theyr diameter, can be smaller. The red leaves, at the base, are older than the dormancy itself, non-functional.
The right one has resumed his growth. Some, but not all leaves, resume theyr growth, presenting a development and a visual increasing in size, equal or even bigger than it was before the dormancy state. The first developing leaves of the plant, especialy after the resuming in size of this plant, is like they where before the dormancy, in size.
Some plants, will not live after waking up. They can die after some weeks. Leave nature to take her course.
In the second image:
Booth have made it alive. The dormant one has been asleep for about 3 weeks.
