try growing red sphagnum, its like 3x as slow as regular species

Honestly, I'm not too sure I like how the red sphag looks all too much :/

Well, from my research u have quite a few colored sphagnum species:
Green
Brown
Red
Purple
Orange

and anything in between
Im trying to grow one of the red varieties, but its such a slow grower...

So what's going on now?

Should I spray a fungicide?

Its quite hard to see, but it sees they are "bleaching", how much sun do they get and did they dry out recently?

looks like 100% humidity and 0 light

100% humidity and 5 hours of sunlight, and they haven't dried out recently :/

i'd say 5h of sunshine is not nearly enough, id try to give them at least 12h a day of indirect sun

Oh no they get five hours of direct sun and the rest of the day is indirect

Then id try indirect sunn as much as possible and keeping the top of the bag opened all the time

Alright, I also see some mouldy like substance so I'm gonna spray some fungicide

Hi. I am growing CPs and apparently purchased some SM to cover the substrate. However, compared to the ones I see on video tutorials, here, and other sources, the sphagnum dies, turning brown. In contrast with the remaining mosses which I placed in a terrarium, they grow well. Now, would it be better to just let my CPs grow without the SM or will they revive soon too?

I don't know how they do it, but my CPs need direct sunlight which kills the moss... any tips?
