Was enjoying near perfect weather today and decided to take a boatload of photos! I am loving this hobby... I mean ehem, lifestyle.

Maroon Monsters are doing GREAT! These guys are incredibly vigorous, and very hungry!:

Nice pics! N. Ventrata grows like a weed for me. I have started 6 plants off my mother plant that I got about 5 years ago.

Tell me about it. I could get a couple of cuttings off of NV #2. It's also growing a basal shoot. They weren't quite as big when I got them, and they were planted in 100% very densely packed, bone dry peat. I switched them out to 50/50 sphagnum/perlite and they really took off. Do you keep yours indoors or out. I'm guessing I'll have some shock when it comes time to bring them indoors in the fall. Some of the easiest plants I've ever had though!

I keep them indoors in west facing windows. I spray them every 2 weeks during the summer with 1/4 strength orchid food to induce pitchering. I was growing them in 50/50 Peat moss and Perlite but recently repotted adding a handful of orchid bark to the mix and they seem to like it. Very easy plants!
