It should thrive with the night time temp drop. I'm glad to see that it looks like it made it safe and sound.

I grew it in a setup similar to yours in my basement, so it should work well as long as you can give it the night time temp drop. My basement stays fairly cool in the summer so I don't need ice packs but for you they should do the job. The only major differance is that I have the bottom of my enclosure lined with an inch of moist LFSM which helps keep the humidity up and makes it so my digital humidifier doesn't run as much.
