nice job! These are not covered with anything, right? are they inside or outside?
I have them covered to keep the humidity up. And I keep them inside for now at least.

do the seeds fall off after they form the 2nd leaf?
Yea, only a few of the seeds fell off the leaf, most of them are still on them haha

Nice Jutty, they are looking good and healthy. They really favor your conditions. Mine has started germinating, all 150 of them. They usually take time to germinate in TC, I will post some updates after their first replate.

Jutty_Boy wrote:Lol wow! Beginning of Week 6! :) 49/50 seeds germanated Steve_D, that's just incredible. I cant even find the 50th seed. Well, as you can see the trap leaves have finally started springing :) Now is the determanation of which plant is what, haha.

Plus i felt like puttin up the fused tooth :P
I'm jealous, but then again mine haven't been in the medium that long yet- although I'm worried the sunny spot I put them in may have cooked them in this heat wave we got :? Ok, I'll worry about anything and everything with them  Fingers crossed.

Alright this marks the end of Week 7 concluding my Seedling growth of VFTs. Wow! I look back on week 1 and 2 and look at how far i have made it.

The name to the first open trap plant was given by a close female friend of mine ;).

I don't know if these people will read this, but I just want to say a few things for some members:

Steve_D - I thank you for making this documentation even possible. You were the one who gave me 50 seeds for free. I told you I would take care of them and always will :)

Matt - Haha you have such a great site! If it weren't for the speedy e-mail response from you, I probably wouldn't of even cared to join this forum. I am 100% happy that i did join this forum! You also always have friendly advice for anyone. Passing on knowledge is priceless.

kevinqwe and E.S. - You two have seemed to follow every week! Haha I am very happy to have listened to every friendly comment you two have had on the growth over the weeks! It made me feel accomplished! So i thank you for your friendliness and support! also kevinqwe, how are the saved seeds?

This concludes this topic :)

Thanks Jut! Those seedlings are looking good and I'm so happy to see you enjoying growing them so much. That's the main reason I made this site. I knew how much joy I got from growing my plants and I wanted to share the knowledge I got after lots and lots of reading all over the web and asking lots of questions in other places. There wasn't anywhere on the web dedicated to Dionaea growing and I thought that void needed to be filled. I'm glad that you like the site. Just to hear you say that makes all of my work to make it feel worthwhile.

I hope that there are lots and lots more people like you out there that find the site and find the joy in growing these little monsters!
