Anyone else experiencing absolutely ridiculously cold weather right now? It was -15F (-26C) this morning here in Boulder, CO. Now it's 0F (-18C). I just shoveled some snow for a 15 minutes or so and my feet and hands are frozen.

Grant, do you know what the temps were in Gunnison?

I saw that. Breaking records down on the Front Range. What was the temp like last night on your porch?

It got down into the mid 30s on the porch. Not too bad. I kept the windows closed though. Usually I leave them open if it's above 30F outside.

Hello from Sunny Santa Rosa,

Wow, we are not as anywhere as cold any you guys. I think its got to 30ºF this morning and a little snow, (in Californina?)and tomorrow maybe 27ºF. Just right for hardening off the seedlings. Sorry, I need to run back to the fireplace. Keep warm!

Best regards,
Curtis

Keep an eye on Gunnison. Here in the next month or so it's going to start to get real cold.

My fly traps seem to be doing very well. Now that the heat is up a little more, they have been staying between the low 40's and the low 60's, on my windowsil in our mud room.

It was -3C last night and my traps are outside. Would it survive?

I brought my plants inside. didn't want to lose them. The draft by the window keeps them cold enough to keep them dormant. For the first time in decades we can go ice skating on lakes and ponds in Vancouver!
