Salut :) Ce produit fafard contien des additifs qui vont tuer tes plantes.

The classic mix for cps is 50/25/25 peat moss/perlite/sillica sand.

Others growers will post their very personnal recipe :)

Nice lakjp,

Maybe its a n00b question, but what is the difference with the bio peatmoss?

I don't know, but the one I bought is organic, so it is safe to use, although I haven't used it yet. It was my first time buying (Canadian) sphagnum peat moss in bale.

The non-organic ones are not safe to use ? :-)
Or maybe yours have no algae or else growing on it after a couple weeks?

For myself, i use fafard and premier peat since years for all my plants. Never had any problem.

If it's non-organic, I guess something must have been added to it such as fertilizer in which case it is not CP-safe.

Do you use the Fafard peat moss in beige or in black?

I called fafard about that few years ago. Their peat and perlite have 0 additive. Just natural plain product. I use the fafard beige one, and sometime premier brand (white pack) 68L i found at my local home depot.

I know that there are suggestions here on the forums in regards to this but I haven't seen anyone mention this brand.
It is no good, because it has black earth (humus).

I switched to this brand this year, and love it. I also have alllll kinds of moss sprouts too! Yay! They advertise it as having "green tips" however I think it just means its dried in a way that it's likely to "revive" when kept wet/damp.
