Hello everyone, im new to the forum obviously lol....

i just picked up my first carnivorous plant "Dionaea Muscipula" Venus Fly Trap .... ive always wanted one for as far back as i can remember, and today the chance of me being in the right place at the right time with the extra change to do so ...

here is a couple pics where it currently sits near a window that gets light 90% of the day ... this will work until i get one of my empty 10gallons cleaned up and turned into a home for it...




EDIT: i should add, i named it properly, its been named Seymore ...... yes i have a habit of naming things its rather odd....

Hi and welcome. That looks like a great healthy flytrap. Here in CA in most places you can grow cps outside year round. I would recommend placing it outside right away.

yah im aware that Cali is a great places to grow CP's year round, however with my current living environment i don't have that luxury ....

however i do have several aquariums laying around empty and unused so one of them will be turning into a terrarium setup for the Venus and maybe a 2nd and/or 3rd plant ..we'll see....
