I'm reading a review article on the "Mineral nutrition of carnivorous plants: a review" (Adamec L., 1997.). There was a brief discussion on an experiment, where agar cultures of P lusitanica were fed Pine pollen. The pollen grains germinated on the Pinguicula and were digested by the plant. "The pollen-fed plants grew faster, contained more chlorophyll, and aged more slowly?" Do you guys think that pollen could be a source of nutrition for CPs?
