Only one set per person; must wait until both sets are taken before uprooting and shipping.

Best wishes--

allen,

Hi Allen-- These Darlingtonia (Cobra Lily) seedlings are the hardier, less finicky mountain variety.

They have already been transplanted several times with no plant loss (not a single plant died) and I don't take any special measures with them, other than making sure the growing crown, right where the roots and leaves meet, does not dry out. I believe that's the #1 problem with keeping Darlingtonia alive.

Contrary to usual fears, the roots do not need to be kept cool; instead, in containers out of the ground, they just need to be prevented from grossly overheating which happens all the time in many planters when the sun hits the side of the growing container. Therefore I have my Darlingtonias planted in an insulating foam pot. But I don't use ice water, have no special contraption to circulate cool water or air around the roots, no "heroic measures" at all.
