I live an hour north of Milwaukee. Flytraps grow fine up here. I bought from FTS and was very happy with my order. I also order from JoelsCarnivorousPlants. The plants from Fly Trap Store were a little larger but both stores had very beautiful plants. I still use both of them.

I second Ted's greenhouse in tinley park. If your looking for CPs in the chicagoland area they have a great selection. Cupped flytraps, Akai ryu flytraps, and I think I also saw "wacky traps" there last time.

They also have big nepenthes mirandas, and a bunch of other cool sundews, butterworts, and northern pitcher plants.

Definitely check them out, it's a great place to start your carnivorous plant collection.

I went from a Home Depot flytrap to this: (pic attached) in the past 3 months

Yeah I went there last thursday for the Miranda. I was walking around and poking my head into all the Carnivores you guys have.

(I'm the 20 yr old guy with long brown hair, I was there with my girlfriend (blonde) )

I think i saw two guys talking by the hanging nepenthes. Not sure if you were one of them.
