Good luck! I have to say that NOTHING creeps me out more than the breeding behavior of a mantis...

Man, wish I had the space to house some mantids, those are beautiful.

Unfortunately my two new baby tarantulas are already pushing the limits of my pet space.

Generally 6 months to a year depending on species and sex. Females typically live longer than males.

So mom killed dad during their mating. Also dad looks kind like a dragon from the game Skyrim, in this case a dead one.

True enough! The real question is, do we have the morbid sense of humor because of the plants, or are we fascinated with them because of it?
