Just a few pictures of my flowering VFT's, I bought so many last year in a short time that I don't know which ones are which anymore.

Well if your VFT are cultivars, it's good to find out the names and write it on the foam pot or a plant tag. If they are all typical then it's a different story :)

nice to see a flower and looks like you'll have many seeds soo :)

I have not measured them yet as they are still growing but best guess is about 8inches or more, one is from lowes so is probably a typical, one is a seed grown from FTC and the other ones I can't remember. I bought these last year and they are out of dormancy and feeding. I have cut flower stems from my smaller plants so they will grow instead but these seem able to eat and grow. Any idea how long before they seed out?

You'll have to hand pollinate them if you want guaranteed pollination and it usually takes a few weeks from pollination to seed harvest. Of course bugs can pollinate them as well but its a safer bet to hand pollinate them. The flowers can be pollinated two or three days after the flowers are open. Its all a pretty easy process. Search YouTube and you'll be able to see how to pollinate it. If you're successful, the ovary will swell and then once the seed pods have dried and split open they are ready to harvest.

How much time does it take for the petals to curl after successful pollination?

I noticed it within a day or two. The flowers I pollinated curled up right after I pollinated them while the other flowers, I waited to pollinate till another plant flowered, stayed open much longer. I've only let my flytraps flower a few time since I don't wish to get seeds very often. So my experience with pollinating is limited to five plants, but I did have success on all five plants with germination from all five plants. Each plant had multiple flower. Some flowers produced a good number of seeds while I did have a few that only produced 5 to 10.

Thank you very much! I plan on self- and cross-pollinating 4 of my VFT's that will begin to flower in May I think.

I measured one of them that won't fit in a picture that I can upload here but it is about 13 inches high. Thanks for the information on collecting seeds and pollenating. One of them opened up. I moved all of the ones that have pods together close together to see if they will pollenate on their own but bees have already been around them.
