My pot is filled with algae and I afraid my Burmanni will be overwhelmed by it

Does anyone know how to remove it without damaging the plant?

Can you post a picture of the pot? (i'll be able to answer after seeing the problem )

you can either remove the plants then repot them in new clean soil,
you can remove the plants from the old soil, cook** the old soil the replace the plants back in
or cook the soil before every planting them in,
you can also use tweezters and do it by hand or buy fungicides

I used cinnamon and it worked great.
all it took is sprinkling a bit on the aglee and after just a few days it was nearly gone.

but some algae still clinging to the drosera

Yeah looks like mold. Cut off the infection less water and more light for a little while should help clear it up.

ok it's a little OOT but this is the different spatulata than the previous image
the problem with this spatulata is it doesn't produce a lot of dew/goo

I notice that only the new leaves that produce dew but it's not much while the old leaves tend to not dewing and the tentacles that usually hold the dew turns black

I also notice that after each feeding the leaf don't produce dew anymore

any idea what's happening with my spatulata?

Kevin, whats the amount of light it gets and the humidity?

@sanders: I put it on the north windowsill and it get about 7 hours of light a day and I use tray method to keep the humidity

@sharoman:won't the drosera died if you give cinnamon? Since it will make the soil ppm raise?

7h seems a little short.

Oh and BTW does anyone know how does a "burned" sundew leaf look like?

I have mine at 16h light a day.
But it also depends on the lights you have, but since im new myself, id advise u to open your own topic, so we dont derail this one

@sander:it's impossible here to get a 16 hour of sunlight since I am in the equator
