do the cupped traps "work" like the "regular" traps?

They do close but not a very good trapper usually the flys escape and the ones that don't, I haven't seen the traps be able to make a tight seal to digest. But my cupped traps are still small..

Great pictures! Have you noticed in the fall some of your traps get even bigger right before dormancy? Once I started giving my trap sunlight instead of T5 Light I got a couple of HUGE traps to pop up!

I have a typical that got some pretty big traps last month buts its slowing down a lot. Other then that one I haven't seen to much change as in "bigger" traps during these last few months. I left my traps outside all summer and the heat really stunted their growth. It was over 100 for a few weeks straight with night temps not dropping to far below 90, so I'm thinking the cooler fall days helped the growth of most of the traps.
