Plant update.. I'm afraid I may have sunburned my Pink Venus :(

They are currently living outdoors on my patio under an umbrella topped table. I may have to bring them in sometime in September.. I've purchased the grow light that Veronis has suggested multiple times on the forums.. the B52 & A2 have fed (each plant caught their own twice!), the Akai Ryu has also caught a small insect but has since released it but the Pink Venus has caught nothing.. I am watering 'as needed' with distilled water. The Akai Ryu is watered most often as it has a different soil mix than the other two (I bought potted so I suspect this one has a mix of sand because its much more fine and gritty than the other 3 plants..) I bottom water but occasionally mist the tops if they look a bit dry and a couple times per month will top water.

Are they looking healthy?

Quick update to note my grow-light set up.

I picked up this grow light:

and this stand:

I will be acclimating to indoor lighting mid-September and begin dormancy sometime around the end of November / early December.

My Dracula & Typical were just potted so they are still getting used to the climate, Dracula spent a little time in the fridge so I'm trying to be extra gentle with that one. The Akai Ryu had a bit of trouble acclimating but it's starting to recover :) None are potted fully in LSM but a few are topped with it.

I am a little further behind on starting my dormancy this year than I wanted to be but I am dialing down my lights now.. I wanted to give some of my other plants a chance to bounce back after a rough time while I was on vacation, all traps (even the teeny ones) look healthy and have functioning traps.

This is mostly to document the trap/plant size I grew this past year, using a 1" ruler. Now that my plants are entering dormancy, I want to have something to compare this to next year. :)

I am attempting to grow some plants with a "special giants" seed pack from FTC. Aprox. 42 seeds planted. Reminder to self: I'd also like to snag a couple seed packs of the "special red mix" when they are in stock.

March 4, 2013 (expected seedlings between 3/18-4/1).

.. will up date again when/if the seeds take, please keep your fingers crossed for me!! ..
