You're plants look great. Its a nice start. A little advice for you is to take your flytraps out of the tray of water. It looks to me that your pots are fairly shallow and flytraps don't like being in standing water for very long. This could cause root rot and or decline in health. Read the info. on the main page about watering, if you haven't already, and your plants will grow well for you. The droseras and sarracenias will like the water trays. I keep my dews and sarras. pretty wet all the time but water my traps every two to three days in the summer after the soil has dried out a bit until its just moist.

Thanks for the comments and advise! I have already read a ton of info on care, but that doesn't mean I didn't miss something. The traps are no longer in the water tray. I only had them in there to water them when I took the pics.

Excellent flytraps. May I ask what sizes each one was when you purchased them? I have seen premium and mature sizes recently available on the varieties you have purchased. I saw that you have an Akai Ryu on your wants list. Although it is nice to say you own an Akai Ryu, you really are not missing out on much. Your Red-leafed seed grown will end up being a better flytrap in general. My Akai Ryu is alright but it is lanky and does not bear the large traps like the rest of my red-leafed VFTs.

They were either mature or young adults, not premium. I have the Ryu on my want list because most of the pics I find of it are solid red. If there is a better all red variety I would rather have it instead. Any suggestions?
