Here's my entry:

Sarracenia hybrid (leucophylla x purpurea). That's Sarracenia x "Dixie Lace" to the left and right in the background.
Canon EOS 20D with the Canon 17-85mm EFS lens
ISO 400
1/125 sec shutter speed @ f7.1
Photo was taken in North Carolina, USA on July 22nd, 2012. I'm living in the USA. :)
I think the frog is the "Green Tree Frog" (Hyla cinerea). There are more than one species of tree frogs in this state with green coloration, so I might be mistaken.

(edited this post to add this note) The only editing I did was to crop the photo and tweak the colors (to better match the true coloration). The frog was truly inside the pitcher.

Nepenthes truncata "Paisan Highlands" and some small ferns...

I took this in front of an orange glow softbox, with my Nikon D5100, and a 40mm macro lens, aperture was about ten, and I can't recall the shutter speed.

I did some minor contrast, and sharpness modifications in postedit, and added a black border..

I currently live in an underground lair, high in the Canadian alps... And occasionally frequent interdimensional space... But I'm mostly Canadian...

Great photos so far! I guess I'll go with this one:

FTS seed grown (Dionaea muscipula)
Taken with standard iPhone 4s camera.
Edits: Darkened black cloth background for a more uniform blackness and added a black border to make it an even 1920x1080. Everything else is the raw original.
