hello, my name is edward, I joined this forum to learn about VFTs and ultimately acquire all of the cultivars. I only have a typical green, lost a young VFT two weeks ago to root rot.....

I also have other CPs.......well, I hope to learn more!

Cheers

Hello edward! Welcome to the forum!

I too hope to have all of the registered cultivars and most of the unofficial ones as well. I think this forum will help with achieving this goal. I'm going to start doing some tissue culture soon and hopefully I get some results and I'll have more plants available for trade.

Sorry to hear about your loss of the young VFT. I guess you kept it too wet for too long?

G'day Edward, welcome to FlyTrapCare. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to post them here. Hope you get to collect all the cultivars one day.

Perhaps post a query on this site under the header of "sales, trades & wants - other regions" and see if anyone can help you out. Checkout "Jonathan's grow list" - he also lives in Malaysia and has a collection to be very proud of (or envious of!) - maybe send him a message and ask where he sourced his plants from? Last resort would be to save up your money and place an order with a reputable supplier overseas -a little costly, but if you have friends that want to order plants too you could split the cost of phytosanitary certificate and other associated shipping costs. Hope this helps.
Linton.
