Hi all, I recentally bought some drosophyllum seeds from my local Carnivorous Plant Society. I have scarafied the seeds with fine sand paper and they are now soaking in water. I plan to germinate them on a shallow tray of vermiculite and then transplant them onto a terrecotta pot filled with sand, perlite and viriculite. Has any one had any expirience with these plants or has and tips on germinating them?
Thanks, Pat. :D

Wow, congrats Pat. Drosophyllum seeds are one of the harder seeds to germinate. Keep us posted.

Im realy exited but dont want to get my hopes up too much as apparentally 40 % of all seedlings die within the first months.
once there are visible sighns of growth I will post some photos.

I think the warmth of my green house is what sped up the germination Linton. Also I sowed mine on moist vermiculite and kept the mumidity very high.

Woot! more germination! I sowed the remaining seeds in the same medium in a 6 inch plastic pot. I was checking on them today and discovered another seed had germinated!
