I received my VFT a few days ago from here and it was going dormant due to the cold weather where it came from. Will it still be dormant and be ok going dormant in 85 degree temperatures

No it won't. You will most likely have to use the refrigerator technique discussed in this article.

How long are the days there and what are the night time temps?

The length of the day seems to control dormancy more than daytime highs. It regularly gets up into the 80s in my greenhouses during the winter on sunny days, but the flytraps don't begin growing again until the days start getting longer in February or so.

The days are 10 hours and 45 minutes long and night time temperatures ar in the mid or high 60s
