PAX prime was this weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun, 25-28) in downtown Seattle. I was lucky enough to be able to go on Saturday and Sunday. Got to see and play some games that come out soon, and picked up some awesome swag. I spent most of my time at Halo Fest.. well.. cause that's why I wanted to go to PAX.

Looks like a good time! I can't say I'm too into Halo (always been a PC gamer, and when all my friends were raving about 16 multiplayer Halo I was off playing 128 multiplayer Joint Ops), but it looks fun nonetheless! That halo diorama was very impressive from a modeling standpoint, so much attention to detail!

I probably would have been more interested in the orchids at the Jurassic park booth than the other stuff too, looks like they brought in some nice Phals!

I'm not much into Warhammer 40K (I can only make time for so many things, so Starcraft has to take priority), but I came across this the other day and thought it was pretty sweet:

I have been gaming for as long as I can remember, but the first game that really got me was Halo:CE. I played it at a friends house and I just absolutely had to have it. Been crazy about it ever since; Not necessarily the game, but the characters, the creatures, the drama.. I'm just a HUGE Halo universe fan.

I saw the orchids and was like.. those are not real! But they were, and a bunch if them were really sad looking, mostly the white ones. Stupid kids picking them!!!

Not so much a Warhammer fan myself, again, more a fan of the universe, the characters.. the books are great. I do enjoy watching people tabletop 40k, and have played some Space Hulk, but that's about it. Not really into games where the person who can afford a lot is easily the best, 40k is like that. Oh, you want an really strong army? That'll cost you over $2,000.. no thanks.

Razor had a pretty huge booth, one thing I really wanted for the PC was the Razer Hydra.. motion sensor controllers.

I hope I didn't come off abrasive or demeaning with my comment, it wasn't meant like that at all! I have just never been too enamored with Halo. The only single player game "universes" I was every too interested in was the Half Life...saga? Guess I can call it that since there are quite a few of them (and I'm awaiting HL3 like all the other nerds!) and Starcraft.

Poor flowers Orchids are so nice when they aren't abused. I'm waiting for both of mine to bloom again...they seem to be content growing leafs for now, but they just finished blooming a little over a month ago, so I can't rush them too much.
