Thanks so much for posting these photos, updates and description of this experiment, mobile!

I'm inspired by your experiment to add chopped pine needles to the coir mix I'm using now just to see what happens.

Spring has sprung and it's a really warm and sunny one here too, so the VFT has started to put on good growth again. I've noticed that the level of the pine needles has sunk, so I guess there is some decomposition:

If that VFT had a face, it would be smiling, ear to ear! I see multiple growth points so you have @ least 3 plants. Congratulations and thank you for the update.

What state were the pine needles when you first started,fresh and green,long dead,etc.?This looks to be a promising media,I may copy your experiment if you don't mind!
