Thanks so much for posting these photos, updates and description of this experiment, mobile! :) I'm inspired by your experiment to add chopped pine needles to the coir mix I'm using now just to see what happens. :D

If that VFT had a face, it would be smiling, ear to ear! I see multiple growth points so you have @ least 3 plants. Congratulations and thank you for the update.

What state were the pine needles when you first started,fresh and green,long dead,etc.?This looks to be a promising media,I may copy your experiment if you don't mind! :D
