Both Neps have been traded! Thanks for reading.

Ok, so as much as it breaks my heart, I have to trade off my Nepenthes Singapore Garden Techs (ampullaria x ventricosa). Keeping them in a terrarium is taking up too much space and they are starting to reach the top again and constantly rearranging them and changing their light levels isn't fair to them. I figure I should ship them out now, before the cold season gets any closer.

Their story is that I bought them early last spring under the impression that they would grow under intermediate conditions, more specifically I bought them after being told that they would fit into my conditions. After about 3 months, I saw both growing tips shrink and stop growth. Each plant put up multiple basal shoots and I decided to change their conditions to extreme lowland. Ever since, they have flourished in leaf/pitcher size and pitcher lifespan. So long story short, these are lowland plants with a troubled history but they have seemed to recover and now are in need of a more suitable home and grower so they can continue growth and putting up great looking pitchers.

Looking at the various nurseries which sell and have sold this hybrid, it usually runs around the 25 dollar range. I am looking to trade for easy highland species/hybrids of nepenthes in this region. I am not picky and am more interested in attractiveness than rarity. I like striped peristomes, bright colors or unique patterns. Seed grown and female would be priority and I am willing to take stem cuttings. I would even throw in a few of my baby drosera capensis albas with each trade. The nepenthes I already have are Ventricosa, Spathulata x Maxima, Spectabilis, Singalana (belirang), Alata, Chaniana x Veitchii, and Sanguinea so I would obviously be looking for others. I would also be very interested in Cephs and wouldn't mind established Flytraps and Sarracenia either, just shoot me a PM or response and we can discuss it :D

Any questions, just ask or PM me, I would really like to free up the space and get them sent out before the weather gets too cool :)

Hi, I know you said you were looking for some highlanders to trade but would you have any interest in trading for Darlingtonia, Cephalotus, Sarracenia or Flytraps?

Thanks, Jerry

Jerry,

I would LOVE a ceph actually!

I didn't originally put the others in the post because I am concerned about how my plants will do during dormancy (I have never done it before). But I would be willing to trade for Sarracenia, and Flytraps I don't already have (it would also make my girlfriend very happy for me to obtain more outdoor plants!).

I don't know enough about Darlingtonia though and am afraid my summers would be to warm for them. Maybe in a couple years when I relocate for grad school.

I will change the post title and info to include this. But if you are interested consider yourself first in line :)
