How long after a rain shower does the dew comeback to the leaves? Or does the plant need to grow new leaves?

I can't give you a general rule,

But my D. Filiformis and Capensis had their dew back in 3-4 days after a heavy rainfall. My D. aliciaea even had more dew after the rain than before.

All the dew is back now. The cape sundew got it back the fastest. The other types are not as fast at regenerating the dew..

Yes some one out there has tasted the glue drops of a sundew and ironically that person is me!!!
It tastes like pure glucose with a bit of a zingy, bugy , sour, taste.
Don't ask me how i got to taste a sundew, but lets just say a photo taken a bit to close lead to the unique taste of dew bursting with buggy flavours!!
