I was just wondering how many people actually name their plants. If they name all of them, or only a few. If you do in fact name your plants... how do you come up with names for them? I'd love to hear some of your names and how you got them.
examples:
Sarracenia Purpurea - Uncle Jack
The purple pitcher was my first pitcher plant, so I named it after the first baseball pitcher that came to mind. My Uncle Jack.
Dionaea Muscipula "Czech Giant" - Vladimir
While Czech isn't Russian, it reminded my girlfriend and I of Russia for some reason... we went with the first Russian name we could think of.
Dionaea Muscipula "Jaws" - Bruce
The name of the shark in the movie Jaws
Drosera Capensis Alba - Jessica
Named for Jessica Alba
